Aquajet is now looking for an electrical designer for its product development team – a key person who wants to work practically and innovatively with advanced mobile products. You will play an important role in developing electrical systems for robots, high-pressure pumps, and water filtration plants used worldwide.

About the position

As an electrical designer, you will be part of a knowledgeable and committed development team where design, testing, and prototype work occur closely together. The work includes both design work in a CAD environment and practical construction of electrical cabinets and systems. You will work with everything from 400V systems to fine control of sensors and communication solutions – and follow the technology all the way from idea to finished machine.

Job description

Examples of tasks

  • Design electrical systems for mobile machines and plants
  • Draw electrical and layout in AutoCAD
  • Work with component layout in Autodesk Inventor
  • Build prototypes of electrical cabinets and component solutions
  • Manage 400VAC 3-phase systems with contactor and frequency converter control
  • Work with 24VDC systems for controlling diesel engines and hydraulics
  • Integrate PLC and HMI systems, primarily from IFM
  • Use sensor systems such as 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, IO-link
  • Work with communication systems such as CAN-bus and Modbus

If you also have knowledge of PLC programming, that is a plus.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience in electrical design and electrical systems for machine or automation solutions
  • Enjoys both designing in CAD and working practically with prototypes
  • Has expertise in high and low voltage systems
  • Has relevant technical education – e.g., electrical/automation at vocational college or university level
  • Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
